On 2/8/2022, Irvine city council voted unanimously to set their default at 100% renewable energy. The city is now poised to be the largest city / second largest municipality (behind LA County) in the country on renewable energy. 3 out of 4 member agencies of Orange County Power Authority have set their defaults at 100%.
